Gobierno dominicano avanza e intensifica acciones contra la trata de personas y asciende al Nivel 2 en informe de EE. UU. victorreyes 8 de Octubre 2026 | 20:40 Santo Domingo.- El Gobierno de la República Dominicana avanzó significativamente en la lucha contra la trata de personas , subiendo al Nivel 2 en el más reciente informe publicado por la Embajada de Estados Unidos en el país. Entre las medidas clave que evidencian el incremento de los esfuerzos gubernamentales para erradicar este delito, se encuentra la modificación de la Ley contra el Tráfico Ilícito y la Trata de Personas (Ley 137-03), para eliminar el requisito de demostrar fuerza, fraude y coacción en los delitos de trata que involucran a menores de edad, alineando la legislación nacional con los estándares internacionales , especialmente en casos de explotación sexual . De igual modo, dentro del marco legal y normativo, se aprobó y financió con presupuesto nacional el nuevo Plan Nacional de Acción contra la Trata de Personas 2025-2028 . Se adoptó la Resolución N.º 13-2024 para crear un procedimiento que permita entregar tarjetas de identificación a personas apátridas. También se consultó a la sociedad civil y a sobreviv
