Ministerios de Defensa y Trabajo incluyen las Escuelas Vocacionales a los programas nacionales de formación técnica y empleo victorreyes 28 de Octubre 2026 | 10:11 Santo Domingo.– El Ministerio de Defensa (MIDE) , a través de la Dirección General de las Escuelas Vocacionales de las Fuerzas Armadas y de la Policía Nacional (Digev) , firmó un convenio de cooperación interinstitucional con el Ministerio de Trabajo para fortalecer la formación técnico-profesional y facilitar la inserción laboral de jóvenes, mujeres, personas con discapacidad y adultos que buscan oportunidades de empleo . El acto, celebrado en el Salón de Reuniones del MIDE, estuvo encabezado por el ministro de Defensa, teniente general Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre ( ERD), y el ministro de Trabajo, Eddy Olivares Ortega , con la participación del coronel José Ramón Reyes Suárez (FARD), director general de la Digev. El convenio pone a disposición de los programas de formación y empleo en las 31 escuelas y las cuatro extensiones de las Escuelas Vocacionales en todo el territorio nacional, una red que ha formado a más de 500,000 técnicos desde 1966 .
