Update: Cumberland Avenue Closure Monday, October 26 For immediate release: October 23, 2026 - 4:00 pm TC26-12479 Cumberland Avenue will close between College Drive and Elliott Street beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, for approximately four to five weeks. Two-way vehicle traffic (one lane each in east and west directions) will be maintained on College Drive through the Cumberland Avenue intersection during this closure. Pedestrians will also be able to cross College Drive at a temporary signalized crossing to be installed immediately east of the intersection. The closure is required to relocate existing traffic signal poles throughout the intersection and install new curb along the north side of the road. This work is required to be complete to allow the north lanes to be open to traffic and will help prepare the College Drive for operations over the winter season, minimizing further closures in 2027.
