Senado aprova aumento do teto para MEI e perdão de dívidas

O Senado aprovou nesta quinta-feira (15) o projeto de lei complementar (PLP) que aumenta o limite de receita do microempreendedor individual (MEI) para até R$ 140 mil a partir de 2028. A votação foi unânime: 78 votos a favor, nenhum contrário. O PLP 186/2026 também amplia o número de contratação de empregados de um para até dois e permite o perdão de débitos com a União. O projeto, que foi aprovado na quarta-feira (14) na Câmara dos Deputados, segue agora para sanção presidencial. O atual limite de receita bruta anual, fixado em R$ 81 mil desde 2016 (cerca de R$ 6.750 mensais), passará a R$ 110 mil em 2027 e chegará a R$ 140 mil no ano seguinte. Para o início de atividades de microempreendedor, o limite será de R$ 9.166,67 por mês, em 2027; e de R$ 11.666,67 por mês, em 2028.
