Em pronunciamento no Plenário nesta quinta-feira (8), o senador Paulo Paim (PT-RS) defendeu que o fim da escala 6x1 irá fortalecer a Previdência Social pública no Brasil. A matéria está em discussão na PEC 221/2019 — proposta de emenda à Constituição em análise na Casa. Para o parlamentar, desenvolvimento econômico, a valorização do trabalho e políticas humanitárias precisam caminhar juntos. Paim previu que a redução da jornada de trabalho sem redução e salários vai gerar mais empregos e menos informalidade. O senador ponderou que mais contribuintes significam mais arrecadação previdenciária. — Quando reduzimos a jornada, ampliamos o emprego formal, criamos condições para uma melhor distribuição do trabalho existente. Ninguém está na informalidade porque gosta. Com um salário decente, com uma jornada decente, é claro que ele vai querer estar na formalidade, vai querer ter a carteira de trabalho assinada.
