Avança regulamentação da profissão de cuidador com jornada de 40 horas

A Comissão de Direitos Humanos (CDH) aprovou nesta quarta-feira (4) projeto que regulamenta a profissão de cuidador de pessoas de qualquer idade. O texto estabelece requisitos de formação, define as atribuições desses profissionais e fixa jornada máxima de 40 horas semanais. A proposta segue para votação final da Comissão de Assuntos Sociais (CAS). De autoria do senador Sérgio Petecão (PSD-AC), o PL 6.073/2025 tratava inicialmente apenas dos cuidadores de pessoas idosas. O relator, senador Flávio Arns (PSB-PR), apresentou um substitutivo que amplia o alcance da regulamentação para profissionais que prestam cuidados em qualquer etapa da vida, incluindo crianças, pessoas com deficiência e pessoas que necessitam de acompanhamento temporário ou permanente. — A necessidade de cuidado não é atributo exclusivo da idade avançada — argumentou Arns. Requisitos e atribuições Para exercer a profissão, será necessário ter pelo menos 18 anos, ensino fundamental completo e curso de formação ou qualificação profissional reconhecido pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC), com carga horária mínima de 160 horas.
