Premier Panyaza Lesufi officially opens upgraded Modderfontein (K155) Road Vuyelwa Fri, 10/09/2026 - 09:04 08 Oct 2026 The Gauteng Provincial Government today marked a significant infrastructure milestone as Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, together with MEC for Roads and Transport, Kedibone Diale-Tlabela, officially opened the upgraded K155 Road Corridor, a strategic transport route connecting key economic and residential areas in Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni. The upgraded corridor, which includes widened roadways, upgraded intersections, improved traffic signals, pedestrian facilities and street lighting, is now fully operational. The project is expected to improve mobility, enhance road safety and strengthen connectivity for thousands of daily road users.
