Government Report on the Future: Strengthening young people’s faith in the future is a task for all of society
Part II of the Government Report on the Future was submitted to Parliament on Thursday 8 October. The theme of the report is Young People as Makers of the Future. The report focuses especially on young people aged 15–24 and explores ways to improve their wellbeing, inclusion and faith in the future. Report sets the course for long-term measures The report summarises the key findings concerning young people’s faith in the future and sets the course for long-term measures in four areas. The building blocks of young people’s faith in the future and trust are everyday safety and security, belonging to communities, smooth education, training and employment paths, and the experience that they are being heard and that their views matter. In practice, this means supporting young people’s communities and mental health, strengthening digital safety, improving media and AI literacy skills, and making it easier for young people to gain their first work experience.
