3rd Special Forces Group Kicks Off ‘War Horse’ Lethality Exercise at Fort Bragg
The 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) has launched "War Horse," an eight-week baseline lethality exercise designed to standardize training and enhance combat readiness for its 12-man Special Forces Operational Detachment Alphas (ODAs). The intensive, six-module program assesses over 100 soldiers on 22 foundational tasks, ranging from academic instruction to tactical maneuvers in the Uwharrie National Forest and live-fire drills at Fort Bragg. This centralized training prepares the ODAs to operate autonomously and execute complex missions within their specific area of responsibility in Africa.
