Dyess comptrollers test expeditionary skills during Exercise Iron Ledger

U.S. Airmen assigned to the 7th Comptroller Squadron and 317th Operations Group tested their tactical capabilities and expeditionary readiness during Exercise Iron Ledger at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Oct. 20-22, 2026. Iron Ledger, a new initiative established by the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, is designed to shift the career field’s focus back to the basics of expeditionary operations. The evaluation prepares finance specialists to establish critical operations under fire, manage foreign currency and maintain financial security in austere, contested environments.
