Heartfelt condolences to the people of Tooro Kingdom, the Royal Family, the Government and people of Uganda, and all those whose lives were touched by His Majesty’s leadership and service. In 2016, His Majesty King Oyo was recognized as a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for ending AIDS among young people in Eastern and Southern Africa. He accepted this role at the age of 24, at a time when he was widely respected as the youngest reigning monarch in the world and as an influential voice for young people across the region. “King Oyo used his voice, his influence and his deep commitment to young people to advance the vision of ending AIDS as a public health threat,” said Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director of UNAID
