MOFA reiterates that Taiwan enjoys right to equal participation in APEC; calls on China to uphold its commitments as 2026 host economy

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on China to halt its political machinations and carry out its duties as Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum host economy by respecting the core principle of equal participation of all member economies in accordance with APEC guidelines, norms, and practices and by taking concrete steps to ensure Taiwan’s right to equal and dignified participation in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Shenzhen, China in November.
