Projects jointly funded by Guangdong-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong under 2026/27 Mainland-Hong Kong Technology Cooperation Funding Scheme open for application
The Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) is inviting applications for projects jointly funded by Guangdong-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong under the 2026/27 Mainland-Hong Kong Technology Cooperation Funding Scheme (MHKTCFS) from October 12 until December 11. An ITC spokesman said, "In alignment with the National 15th Five-Year Plan and the Hong Kong Special Administration Region Government's inaugural Five-Year Plan, this call for proposals focused on frontier technologies and strategic emerging industries. It aims to facilitate the flow of innovation and technology elements between the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, while deepening synergy among industry, academia, and research, as well as fostering technology and innovation integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area." The MHKTCFS aims to encourage research and development collaboration among universities, research institutes and technology enterprises in the Mainland and Hong Kong.
