President Meloni’s video message to the ‘AI.DEA – Varignana Forum’

Dear President De Castro, dear President Orsini, dear friends, I am very sorry not to be able to join you today, but I nevertheless wanted to send you my greetings on the occasion of this first edition of the ‘AI.DEA – Varignana Forum’. Artificial intelligence has now powerfully entered our lives and is set to revolutionise everything, starting with production and industrial processes. Businesses are also rising to this epoch-making challenge, as can be seen in their dynamism. Adoption of this technology is progressively growing in our economic fabric, and I believe there is huge potential to be unleashed and scope to do even more. Just think about the extraordinary opportunities that can arise from combining artificial intelligence with the know-how of our manufacturing sector, Made in Italy quality and the ingenuity of our local areas. We have skills and talents to offer: we must be able to nurture them and create the right conditions so they may be channelled into research, investment and business.
