It combines quality-assured ground-based measurements, satellite observations and atmospheric modelling, focusing on urban and peri-urban Mediterranean regions to validate satellite products under diverse atmospheric conditions. Last Updated Published on About The AURORA project supports the validation of Level 2 atmospheric composition products from the Copernicus Sentinel-4, Sentinel-5 and CO2M missions using Fiducial Reference Measurements (FRMs) from established ground-based observational infrastructures in the Mediterranean and sub-Mediterranean regions. The project brings together three multi-instrument measurement sites: the Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (LAP/AUTh, Greece), the National Institute of R&D for Optoelectronics (INOE, Romania), and the Boundary layer Air Quality-analysis
