City releases Bearspaw South Feeder Main Third Party Independent Review Panel and Advisory Group Costs

In response to a motion approved at the Regular Council Meeting on October 27, 2026, The City has made public the amounts invoiced and paid to the Chair and Panel Members of the Bearspaw South Feeder Main Independent Review Panel, as well as information provided to Council during the Q4 2024 Regular Update with Chief Administrative Officer related to the third-party panel. The total cost reflects the work required to complete a comprehensive, independent and evidence-based assessment from uniquely qualified industry experts, including: The length and breadth of the review, which took nine months and considered all aspects of the water utility; The need for independent engineering, technical, and advisory expertise; and Additional effort required as the scope became fully defined over the course of the work, coupled with support while The City responded to the second feeder main break.
