Twentynine Palms immunization training prepares Sailors to support medical readiness
Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Twentynine Palms trained 34 Sailors during its first Basic Vaccinator Course at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, Sept. 24, 2026. The training combined classroom instruction, hands-on skills stations and competency testing to prepare Sailors to safely administer vaccines, screen patients, respond to adverse reactions and properly document care. Developed by Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Peter Amponsah, the course brought together personnel from across the command and supporting operational units to expand the pool of qualified vaccinators and support medical readiness.
