T-38 takes on new training mission at Tinker AFB

After spending more than three decades inside Tinker Air Force Base’s historic Building 1, a T-38 Talon is beginning a new chapter as a training asset for Tinker Fire and Emergency Services. The aircraft, housed inside the Tinker Technology Center since approximately 1994, previously supported maintenance training, including aircraft jacking and leveling procedures. With that training requirement ending, the aircraft is being relocated rather than removed from service entirely.
