DFO SELECTS VARD TO DELIVER NEXT-GENERATION COMMISSIONING SERVICE OPERATION VESSEL

Norway/Ålesund, 23 September 2026 - VARD, one of the world’s leading designers and shipbuilders of specialized vessels and part of the Fincantieri Group, is proud to announce a new contract with Taiwan-based Dong Fang Offshore (DFO) for the design and construction of a state-of-the-art Commissioning Service Operation vessel. Developed from the VARD 4 39 design, the vessel will further strengthen DFO’s offshore capabilities across the wind, energy and power cable markets. The contract value is between EUR 66m and 75m.
