Special traffic and transport arrangements in Shek O and Big Wave Bay on November 7

The Transport Department (TD) today (November 5) reminded the public that to facilitate the holding of Tai Ping Ching Jiao parades in Shek O and Big Wave Bay this Saturday (November 7), the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in the areas: Shek O Headland Road, Shek O Village Road, the section of Shek O Road between Big Wave Bay Road and Shek O Headland Road, and Big Wave Bay Road, will be closed in phases from 6am to 11pm; and The termini in Shek O of Citybus route Nos. 9 and X9 will be temporarily relocated to Shek O Beach Public Carpark from 6am on November 7 to 1.30am of the following day. The services of these two routes will be strengthened subject to passenger demand during the event. The TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of Shek O and Big Wave Bay and the approach roads will be busy during the event. Due to road closures and temporary suspension of some car parking spaces, members of the public are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas and use public transport services as far as possible.
