Additional sexual assault charges laid against Calgary massage therapist

We have laid additional sexual assault charges against a Calgary massage therapist after four new victims came forward following a media release issued earlier this year. In July 2026, we charged a massage therapist with sexual assault in connection with an incident that occurred during a massage appointment in August 2025, at Kinesio Massage Therapy located at 3949 17 Ave. S.W. Following the release of that information, investigators received reports from four additional victims alleging similar incidents. As a result of the ongoing investigation, on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at Kinesio Massage Therapy and arrested the suspect as well as seized cellular phones for forensic analysis. Investigators have now charged the suspect with four additional counts of sexual assault. Yuriy ZHIVOV, 53, of Calgary, is now charged with a total of five counts of sexual assault. ZHIVOV is scheduled to next appear in court on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2026. In Canada, there is no time limit on reporting a sexual assault.
