Police seeking bus passengers after fatal collision
We continue to investigate a fatal collision last week involving two Calgary Transit buses, as well as several other vehicles. As we continue to gather evidence around this incident, it is believed that several passengers may have left the scene prior to speaking with police. We are asking anyone that was a passenger on either of the involved buses to contact the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section at 403-428-4000 or the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234. “It is imperative that we talk to everyone who may have information that could progress our investigation,” says Staff Sgt. Andy Woodward of the CPS Traffic Section. “We believe that several passengers likely left the scene following the collision without knowing that investigators would like to hear their witness accounts.” As the investigation is ongoing, no further details are available at this time. Anyone who was affected by witnessing this incident is encouraged to connect with our Victim Assistance Support Team (VAST) by calling 403-428-8398 or toll-free at 1-888-327-7828. VAST is a free service provided to victims of crime and tragedy. More information is available at: https://www.calgary.ca/cps/community-programs-and-
